Jesse ‘The Man and the machine’, takes Jag of All Trade to Abuja |
Just like many who attended the event, the master producer and rapper, Jesse Jagz, calls it a master piece. It was long overdue, but last weekend finally gave birth to Jesse Jagz’s ‘Jag of All Trade’ at the Tribeca Nite Club in Lagos. The event, an album launch was hosted by Dizzy. “Finally, Lagos is done...Lagos was blown away by the ‘Jag of All Trades’ launch party at Tribeca. It was a thrilling event and everyone who made it was held breathless by the music, the man and the machine....Next Stop?!...Abuja...It’s going to be a blast on March 27, so buckle up,” Jesse said through his Facebook. Well, not much can be said because, he has said it all. As for the Lagos event, it wasn’t a surprise that Jesse dominated the stage on his own night. Backed by a live band, he performed song after song from the album. Since he first took the attention of Nigerians through his brother, M.I’s debut album Talk About It, Jesse Jagz has proved himself as not just a gifted producer, but equally an artiste who knows his onions. Singles ‘Bend Down Low’ and ‘Sugarcane baby’ are currently dominating the airwaves from the South to the North. He gave his all with the song ‘Holla at Your Boy’; so did rapper Dagrin who posted the most applauded performance of the night. His track ‘Kondo’ had the ladies drooling and asking for more. Mohits rapper D’prince enjoyed love from guests and colleagues with his wave making song ‘Omoba’. Singer/ producer Dj Zeez also got people grooving to the club banging songs, ‘4 ka sibe’ and ‘Bobby FC’. It’s not surprising to see the Cholcolate City, the record label now flexing its muscles in the industry, owing largely to bestselling rapper M.I’s success. Guests at the event included: Mtrill, Omoba, Skales, Zara, Shoboi, Wizkid, 2shotz, GT The Guitarman, Jazzman Olofin, Skuki, Ruggedman, Djinee, Kel and Naeto C. Rapper M.I came to the event in company of his new manager Lola Adamson.
