For Nigeria to be great, we must let justice flow like water and righteousness like a mighty stream. Nothing short of this will suffice. Anything short of this will not satisfy God and our country, sad to say, will continue to degenerate beyond the current disgusting state where the nation is crippled and nothing is walking or working.

Ps 33:4-5 says of God “He loves righteousness and justice.” (NKJV)  Did you see that? God loves righteousness and justice, not unrighteousness and injustice. We must terminate unrighteousness and injustice in Nigeria, if the country is to become a great nation indeed. See again God’s love for righteousness which is why the Bible says righteousness will exalt a nation. Ps 45:6-7 says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” (NKJV) If Nigeria is to become the envy of other nations compared to the reproach, humiliation, rejection  and disgrace that her citizens currently suffer when they travel abroad particularly to the developed nations, we must embrace a life of righteousness – uprightness and right standing with God.”Uprightness and right standing with God (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) elevate a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (The Amplified Bible) Moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation is our sure pathway to greatness, honour, peace and life in Nigeria. “He who follows righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness and honor.” (Prov 21:21NKJV) Prov 12:28 says, “In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” (NKJV)

We must begin to obey the Word of God; we must start to do all that we do in the fear of God. If we fear the Lord, the systemic coruption in our country will stop and we shall be on our way to national recovery and becoming a great nation for no nation can be truly great where corruption has become an epidemic and poverty is pervasive. Can one say that Nigeria at the moment is  truly ready for God’s lifting when what God is seeing now is unpleasant – bloodshed, oppression, injustice, wickedness etc as it was in Israel and Judah in the Bible? “This is the story of the LORD’s people. They are the vineyard of the LORD Almighty. Israel and Judah are his pleasant garden. He expected them to yield a crop of justice, but instead he found bloodshed. He expected to find righteousness, but instead he heard cries of oppression.” (NLT) When we are truly ready for greatness, we shall sincerely repent and begin to eliminate these evils, and this must start from the topmost leadership of this country permeating to the followers – all Nigerians without any exception. We must go beyond the present lip service. The pathway to Nigeria’s greatness is godliness as defined by the Bible not an ungodly lifesyle covered up with some fake outward religious devotion.  God can not be decieved! Godliness exalts; sin disgraces.

If you are not born again take the following steps:*Admit you’re a sinner and you can’t save yourself and repent of your sins. *Confess Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. *Renounce your past way of life – your relationship with the devil and his works. *Invite Jesus into your life. *As a mark of seriousness to mature in the faith, start to attend a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church. There, you will be taught how to grow in the Lord and become a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

Kindly say this prayer now: “0 Lord God, I come unto you today. I know I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross to save me and resurrected the third day. I confess Jesus as my Savior and my Lord and surrender my life to him today. I invite Jesus into my heart today. By this prayer, I know I am saved. Thank you Jesus for saving me and making me a child of God”

I congratulate you if you have said that prayer sincerely. You are now a child of God. May you flourish like the palm tree and grow like the cedar of Lebanon. May you grow into Christ in all things becoming all God wants you to be. I will be glad to hear from you. May the Lord be with you.
