Cat in car engine survives half-hour journey to owner's work

A cat that crawled into its owner's car engine emerged relatively unscathed after a 30-minute journey.
Black moggy Giggs - named after footballer Ryan - ventured into the engine for warmth, remaining there until colleagues of owner Cerian Griffith heard meowing noises coming from her car when she arrived at her workplace in Wales.
Cerian, a classroom assistant at Ysgol David Hughes secondary school in Menai Bridge, said 13-year-old Giggs was fine following his ordeal - apart from a few missing claws.
'He was just sitting there, and I can't understand how he managed to stay there as my journey involves going around a few roundabouts and along the A55,' she told the BBC.
The 21-year-old added that Giggs pulled the stunt in her Vauxhall Corsa again two days later, with the RSPCA pointing out that it's not uncommon during cold weather for small animals seek warmth in car engines.
'My mum said she'd seen him near the car and for me to check,' said Cerian of the second incident, adding: 'I didn't think he'd do it again, but there he was, fast asleep.
'I've no idea how many lives he has, but that one journey must have used up at least three.'
