The National Association of Professional Secretariat Staff of Nigeria (NAPSSON), has presented its 2010 Award for secretarial profession development, to the Institute of Agricultural Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.
In a statement issued by the institution recently, in Zaria, the university branch President of NAPSSON, Mr Abraham Ndake-Nmodu, described the award as deserving.
He said the award was in recognition of the institute’s numerous contributions to the secretarial profession, adding that the institute sponsored staff members to national and local workshops as well, refresher trainings.
The statement also said other reasons for the award included prompt payments of approved allowances, creation of a work friendly environment for members of the association to operate and dynamic style of management.
The NAPSSON President further attributed the institute’s success to the cooperation it received from members and the entire staff of the institute.
He urged members to continue to put in their best for the progress of ABU, the institute and Nigeria at large. (NAN)
