The current bunch in the National Assembly, who passes as our representatives in the parliament has never been known for its avertion to self-serving parliamentary antics. This is especially so of the leadership of the two chambers. It is on record that the Senate President, David Mark and his House of Representative counterpart, Dimeji Bankole have severally canvassed for an automatic ticket for Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) members in the NASS for the 2011 elections. The Senate President, to be sure, is more persistent in these calls.

Thus Pharaoh incited his people to levity, and they obeyed him: for, verily, they were people depraved! But when they continued to challenge Us, We inflicted Our retribution on them, and drowned them all: and so We made them a thing of  the past, and an example to those who would come after them.
