Kim Clijsters won the season-ending WTA Championships for the third time with a battling win over world number one Caroline Wozniacki in Doha. The Belgian, 27, followed up her US Open victory in September by claiming another of the game’s premier prizes as she beat Wozniacki 6-3 5-7 6-3.
