A new effort at tackling the power supply challenge in the country is being coordinated by a team of Nigerian public and private sector in a conference orgainsed by Africonomie.

The Petroleum Equalisation Fund Management Board (PEFMB) has introduced an electronic monitoring system for the petroleum industry. Mrs Adefunke Kasali, the Secretary of the board made the disclosure recently at an interactive session held in Abuja.

The Federal Government has assured the people of Borno State of adequate power supply to boost economic activities in the state and beyond. Vice President Namadi Sambo gave the assurance on Saturday when he paid a courtesy call on the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar, in his palace in Maiduguri.

The police in Lagos have  arraigned a 30-year-old man, Samson Izuma, who allegedly defrauded two ladies in the guise of doubling money for them.
