In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the Ekiti state University, Professor Dipo Kolawole said the university was a centre for the transfer of knowledge to one another hence engaging Governor Shekarau to share his experience on the way forward for Nigeria.

The president of the institution’s students union, Kehinde Usman Okunuga, lamented the development stalemate in the country, stressing the need to reverse the situation in the interest of national progress and development.

Shekarau, who was the chairman of the occasion, maintained that, the task ahead was enormous and desirous of determination for the desired result to be achieved, saying that, the amount of resources available to the candidate, in order to face the challenge should matter to a certain extent, “but the most important thing is the candidate’s courage and confidence, to pursue his objective vigorously.”

He said that resources are not the issue if a candidate was competing with an incumbent Governor in his state and advised the Adamawa gubernatorial candidate to complement his electioneering efforts with prayers for divine support.

In his remarks, the National Chairman of the ANPP, Dr. Obgonnaya Onu, represented by the National financial secretary, Hajiya Fatima Muhammad, assured the candidate of support, urging him not to relent in the pursuit of his target.
