Hournarable Bawa Abdullahi, was a former councilor in Oshimile South Local Government Area of Delta state. He was born and bred there but affirmed in an encounter with our reporter, Lawal Sadiq Sanusi, who was in Asaba on Peace Building Mission organised by an NGO, Love to the World Initiative, that there was no discrimination against the Northerners by their Southern counterparts, and that any time there was crisis in the East, the Northerners find solace in Asaba which is just a stone-throw from Onitsha in Anambra state.

Ayuba Wandai was recently appointed by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa state, as Transition Management Committee (TMC) Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area. Chairman of the ruling All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, in Borno state, Alhaji Mala Atuman, is one of the frontline politicians in the state. In an interactive session with newsmen recently in Abuja, the ANPP chairman decried what he called ‘desperate fresh moves by some persons in Borno PDP’ concerning the state’s governorship seat which was earlier decided by the Supreme Court in favour of Governor Kashim Shettima of the ANPP on February 17, 2012.
