A fresh crisis is brewing in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over party funds amounting to N7 billion, as the party’s hierarchy yesterday faulted claims by the political adviser to former PDP National Chairman, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, that he left the amount in the party’s coffers when he resigned in January.  

The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), yesterday, insisted that its gubernatorial candidate for the April gubernatorial election in Kano state remains Brig-Gen Lawal Ja’afaru Isa (rtd) and denied receiving any letter from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the issue.
