The Chairman and Founder of the ThisDay Newspapers that was attacked by bombers in Abuja and Kaduna yesterday, Mr. Nduka Obaigbena, has said the act represents an attack on journalism.
He made the assertion yesterday at the ongoing South-south Summit held in Delta State after the attacks on his Abuja and Kaduna offices that left about five people dead with others severely injured.
Obaigbena said: “Today Nigerian journalism was attacked, but the truth will not be cowered”.
A statement issued by the Managing Director of ThisDay, Mr. Eniola Bello, confirmed five deaths including a security guard, three passersby and the bomber, describing it as an attack on journalism and the truth.
