FCE Zaria inaugurates multi-million naira projects

The Federal College of Education (FCE), Zaria at                 the weekend, inaugurated some multi-million naira projects which it executed.

Agency reports gathered said the projects are two ICT centres, a health centre, a lecture theatre and some roads rehabilitated within the college.

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, former Minister of Education, Dr. Sam Egwu, described the efforts of the college’s governing board and management as worthy of emulation.

He said education was the bedrock for every human development and hence there was need for all to support its growth.

Stressing the importance of education to national development, Egwu said no society or nation could grow without a teacher.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Governing Board of the college, Malam Muhammad Abubakar, said the college had been designated as a centre of excellence by the NCCE and NBTE.

He explained that the college had introduced some new courses in arts and social sciences with a view to maintaining its standards in the country.

Abubakar identified the needs of the college to include a modern bookshop, state-of-the-art printing press, adding that there was need for a well equipped teacher resource centre. ( NAN )
