Raising issues of deception

Tony TetuilaIt is true that rumours of Tony Tetuila’s death must have caused some upsets, especially with his close fans as well as the entire entertainment industry.  Though not an enthusiastic fan of the ex-Remedies star, I became anxious to find out what the real situation was.
I was told first by a friend that, the rumour of his death was posted on Facebook, and that the person who did – a lady, sounded serious. Owing to the fact that some elements of truth exist in most rumours, I was taken aback. It was not until after two days that I decided to call one of the major entertainment shots. As usual, he claimed he was just hearing it from me. That at least, eased the tension in me.
But just recently, the ‘I’m in love with two women’ crooner spoke up. He said: “I wonder how these talks start. That’s how they said I impregnated a girl last year. Please, help me tell everyone I’m alive o!”
The question is; who is raising dust or falsifying people’s death? Does it mean that while some are going about their daily businesses others are desperately trying to create consternation in the minds of people? That is why I say everything is a job. Joblessness is certainly a job. Even mere sleeping is a task that some find difficult.
The issue of deception or rumour mongering is really a pain in the ass, especially when it centred on the issue of death. Recently, we have read publications of rumours here and there; rumours of death, birth, pregnancy, marriage and the likes. You can not, but agree with me that issues of this nature are zoned to the entertainment industry – both home and abroad.
Rumours or gossips can be true and sometimes good, but it should be left in the dark until confirmed in the case of death. It’s really not a good thing to broadcast someone’s death when he is still very much alive.
It was fun last week when former President Olusegun Obasanjo read out a report about his alleged assassination. In the end he simply said: “I dey Kankpe.” Well, the bottom line is that caution should be taken when carrying stories that may be disturbing.

Ejiro Okpihwo escapes death after terrible auto-crash

Ejiro Okpihwo This certainly is not a rumour. It is based on fact that the Co-ordinator of the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja, Ejiro Okpihwo last week cheated death when his Honda Hala saloon car, was badly damaged in an accident.
The accident occurred last week Thursday (Aug 17) in Abuja, while he was driving down to Area 1 via airport road. Ejiro said that his car was hit from the rear, the effect of which affected the one in front. In all, four cars were involved.
Amazingly, he came out unhurt. “I thank God for everything. If not for my airbag, I wonder what the story would have been. My car was badly damaged, but am trying to fix it,” Ejiro said.
I hope that he comes out of the shock in good time to host Abuja at this year’s edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja.
Good luck!
